A new year is the perfect time for resolutions and new beginnings. Most of which are forgotten by the first buds of spring.

But this year I decided to take the bull by the horns and make a fresh start, not something I thought about lightly. So, it’s official, I am now a freelance PR consultant and as Julie Croston PR Solutions, am open for business and raring to go!

As all businesses kick-off the new year with planning ahead, looking forward to greater challenges and opportunities, it may be time to consider PR as an important part of your strategy.

Everyone has heard of ‘PR’ or Public Relations, but what exactly does it mean? Well, it’s about developing and maintaining good relationships with all the different groups on which a company is dependent, including customers, suppliers, local community, trade organizations and the press.

PR is used to create positive coverage in a company’s relevant media. Media coverage creates awareness, informing and educating about products and services, successfully securing new customers and reinforcing your company’s mission.

Perhaps you have made new appointments, are growing your team, signed an important new contract, are investing in a trade or customer event. If so, it’s time to announce it to everyone!

Let’s make your brand something to shout about.
