With the summer heat now a fading memory, it’s time to look forward to the exciting new Autumn season.

The days are shorter the nights longer and as the trees prepare for winter, there’s nothing more beautiful than watching the leaves change steadily from green, to yellow, to orange, to deep red. Look out for the falling seeds of the Horse Chestnut tree. The most famous use of horse chestnut is in the game of conkers. Did you know the first record of the game is from the Isle of Wight in 1848?

It’s a great excuse for a new warmer wardrobe, so get out those scarves and gloves and wrap-up against the cooler weather, the season also welcomes lots of exciting fruit and vegetables, apples, blackberries, pumpkins and butternut squash. Then there’s Halloween, Bonfire Night and the countdown to Christmas – perhaps that is just a little too much for some!

The new season is also a great time for businesses to start planning-ahead. PR plays a significant role in winning new business, so think about all the celebrated things your company does that would make a great story. Have you made a new appointment, won an award or done something for charity? Do you want to be featured in that all import industry magazine, or are you organising an event and not sure how to start?

If you want your business to stand out from the crowd then PR really is the way to go!
